Located off of Hwy 94 and Hwy 67, just west of 67 and North of 94

The third year of this event is also Race #1 in the Great Lakes Duathlon Series. The course is flat and fast. Transition and parking will all be held at Silver Lake Middle School.

Saturday, May 26th – Silver Lake Middle School
6:30 – 7:30 a.m. – Registration and Packet Pick- Up
8:00 a.m. – RACE STARTS
10:00am – Awards
PARKING WILL BE AT THE SCHOOL which is a right at the race site

DISTANCE
2 mile run – 20.7mile bike – 2 mile run

THE COURSE
Run
This is an out-and-back course, and both running legs follow the same route. Goes through right out of the parking lot and runs east to the bike path. The route goes North on the bike path to a point and then returns.

- Transition (Start and Finish) – Silver Lake Intermediate School
- Right onto Oconomowoc Parkway (approximately .5 miles)
- Left on to Bike Path (approximately .5 miles to turn around)
- Right onto Oconomowoc Parkway
- Left back to transition

This two mile run is done as the first leg and the last leg of the event.

BIKE COURSE (20.7Miles)
A beautiful and scenic course through the country roads surrounding Oconomowoc. This is a loop course and heads south to Hwy 18 and then west and returns. The bike course is very flat.

- Transition Area to Oconomowoc Parkway
- Oconomowoc Parkway West to Valley Rd.
- Valley Road West to N. Golden Lake Rd.
- N. Golden Lake Road South to Genesse Lake Rd.
- Genesse Lake Road East to Dousman Road
- Dousman Rd. South to Hwy 18
- Hwy 18 West to County F
- County F to Willow Glen Rd.
- Willow Glen Rd to Concord Center
-Concord Center to Delafield Rd
- Delafield Rd to Golden Lake Rd.
- Golden Lake Rd to Valley Rd.
- Valley Rd. East to Oconomowoc Parkway
- Oconomowoc Parkway East to Transition

WHAT GREAT LAKES MULTISPORT PROVIDES
We provide technically sound, safe, and exciting events. Participants receive a DRI WICK SHIRT, chip timing, food and fun after the event. There will also be water and Gatorade stations along the run course. There will be one Water and gatorade station near the transition area.

Bike racks will have your race number and wave you start in. Each mile on the run courses will be marked. All courses will have highly visible signage for each turn. Every 5 Miles will be marked on the bike course.

Sign up early! The wave you are in is a first-come first-serve basis and is determined on how early you register.

Elite Athletes wishing a First Wave exemption must contact us at colebraun@me.com and request a first wave start.

AWARDS
Awards will be given to the first three overall female and male winners. Age group awards will be given to the top 5 male and female in the following categories: under 16, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and up. Overall winners will be removed from the age group awards.

EVENT RULES AND INFORMATION

  1. The event has no time limit.
  2. Drafting is not permitted. Penalties will be enforced for drafting.
  3. No MP3 players, iPods, radios, or headphones allowed on the bike course. Helmets are MANDATORY.
  4. Chip pick-up is immediately prior to event, during race-day registration hours. You must have your bib number [from Transition] for chip pick-up. Lost chips are participant’s responsibility [$50 timing company fee].
  5. Transition closes at 7:45 a.m., 15 minutes prior to Event Start. Equipment must be removed from Transition immediately following the Awards Ceremony.

VOLUNTEER
Get a front row seat as a volunteer! Volunteers are needed throughout the event to help with participant body marking, directing athletes on and off the course, and handing out water and food. All volunteers receive a t-shirt, food during the race and a big thank you!!!
